After forty-three minutes the then provincial government issued Bengal Rationing Order-1943 Bengal Civil Supplies Deptt. established which is currently emerging as an organization called Directorate General of Food under the Ministry of Food. Upazila Food Controller's Office is an important field level establishment of Food Directorate. Developmental activities including supply of local food, cheap price, food friendly, OMS are implemented from the food warehouse under the office.
